Prof. Quan Xue, IEEE Fellow School of Electronic and Information Engineering/School of Microelectronics, South China University of Technology, China Biography: Prof. XUE's research interests include microwave/millimeter-wave/THz passive components, active components, antenna, microwave monolithic integrated circuits (MMIC, and radio frequency integrated circuits (RFIC), etc. In 1993, he joined the UESTC as a Lecturer. He became a Professor in 1997. From October 1997 to October 1998, he was a Research Associate and then a Research Fellow with the Chinese University of Hong Kong. In 1999, he joined the City University of Hong Kong and was a Chair Professor of Microwave Engineering. He also served the University as the Associate Vice President, the Director of Information and Communication Technology Center, and the Deputy Director of the State Key Lab of Millimeter Waves (Hong Kong). In 2017, he joined the South China University of Technology. Now he is a Professor and serves as the dean of the School of Electronics and Information Engineering, the dean of the School of Microelectronics, the Director of the Guangdong Key Laboratory of Terahertz and Millimeter Waves. He also serves as the Chief scientist of Huawei Technologies 2012 Labs, a National 6G Technology General Expert Group member. He has published over 500 internationally refereed journal papers and over 200 international conference papers. |

Prof. Jizhong Zhu, IEEE Fellow South China University of Technology, China Biography: Jizhong Zhu is a Professor of South China University of Technology, and National Distinguished Expert. He is an IET Fellow, IEEE PES Smart Building, Loads, Customer Systems Technical Committee member, Chair of IEEE SBLC Load Subcommittee, Chair of IEEE SBLC Asia-Pacific Working Group, IEEE SMC Technical Committee on Intelligent Power and Energy Systems Technical Committee member. He is also an Expert of IEEE 2030.9 Standard WG on Micro-grids, Expert of International Electrotechnical Commission WGs IEC SEG6, IEC TC22 AHG1, IEC TC22 AHG2, respectively, and Chair of IEEE Standard IEEE P2781 - Load Modeling and Simulation for Power Systems. Dr. Zhu has worked at ALSTOM Grid Inc. in Washington State, Howard University in Washington, D.C., the National University of Singapore, Brunel University in England, and Chongqing University in China. He was a Senior Principal Power Systems Engineer as well as a Fellow with ALSTOM Grid Inc., and an honorable advisory professor of Chongqing University. He has published six books as an author and co-author, as well as about two hundred papers in the international journals and conferences. His research interest is in the analysis, operation, planning and control of power systems, smart grid, power markets as well as applications of renewable energy. | ![]() |
Prof. Guofa Cai Biography: Doctor, associate professor of the "Youth Hundred Talents Program" of Guangdong University of Technology. In 2015, he received his doctorate from Xiamen University, and has been engaged in post-doctoral research at Nanyang Polytechnic University of Singapore and Guangdong University of Technology. The main research directions are coding and modulation technology, wireless medical and machine learning, Internet of Things (including indoor positioning, wireless body area network, LoRa network, etc.). In recent years, he has presided over seven scientific research projects, including one general project of the National Natural Science Foundation and one youth project. He has published nearly 50 papers in authoritative journals and international conferences at home and abroad, including 29 SCI papers, 23 IEEE journal papers, and 7 papers in the first district of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, one of which has been selected as a highly cited paper by ESI. More than 20 invention patents have been applied for, including 9 authorized invention patents. He served as editor of two international journals and reviewer of several IEEE authoritative journals. | ![]() |

Dr. Wan Nor Shuhadah Wan Nik Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, Terengganu, Malaysia Dr. Shuhadah is currently a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Informatics and Computing, University Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Malaysia. She received a PhD in Computer Science (Distributed Systems) from University of Sydney, Australia in 2012 before appointed as a Deputy Director (Infrastructure & Services) at Information Technology Centre, UniSZA from year 2014 - 2017. She has been involved in more than ten research grants and lead four national grants in the area of Distributed Systems. Her main research interest includes the area of Computer Networks and Distributed Systems, including Scheduling in Grid / Cloud and Utility Computing, Wireless Sensor Network, IoT, Heuristics and Optimization and Blockchain.

Prof. Ting Yang School of Electrical and Information Engineering, Tianjin University, China Biography: Prof. Ting Yang, doctoral supervisor, is a discipline leader in the School of Electrical and Information Engineering, Tianjin University. He is the deputy director of the national "distributed energy and micro grid" international science and technology cooperation base and the deputy director of Tianjin "Energy Internet” International Joint Research Center. As the largest contributor, he has wontwo provincial and departmental science and technology progress awards and some enterprise science and technology progress awards. He has published more than 100 SCI/EI papers, 4 monographs and 2 international invention patents in top academic journals in China and abroad. He has served as the session chair of several IEEE international conferences. He also served as the editor in chief or member of the Editorial Committee of several SCI journals. He is the special editor in chief of "Application of artificial intelligence in power system and energy Internet"(which won him the "Outstanding Special Editor Award" in 2018) of “Journal of Power System Automation”, and the special editor in chief of "Ubiquitous Power Internet of Things (UPIOT)" of “Journal of Power Construction”. He is now the deputy director of circuit and system branch of China Electronics Society, the national director of sensor sub committee of China Instrumentation Society and a member of the theoretical electrician special committee of China Electrical Engineering Society.
